Are you in love with your land? Do you own 50 acres of wonderful Texas Hill Country you would like to preserve permanently? A conservation easement may be a way for you to do just that. Federal tax incentives for conservation easements were passed in 2006. They include up to a 50% deduction from Adjusted Gross Income for up to 15 years for landowners who put a conservation easement on their property and 100% for individuals and companies that derive the majority of their income from farming or ranching.
