Sustainable Concept Open House August 1 - 9

This week-long open house event will take place August 1-9 at the Sustainable Concept House, a home on track to be LEED-certified platinum while maintaining the look of a traditional Hill Country home.  It will feature an interactive forum with educational exhibits, where visitors can see the latest green products and innovative technologies that work for our area. 

Open house hours are as follows:

August 3-7: noon-6pm

August 8-9: 10am-6pm

Admission is $5 per person; children 10 and under are free. From San Antonio, take IH-10 west, exit Johns Road/mile marker 539. Visitors should travel to the Tapatio Springs Resort parking lot (go left on Wild Turkey and follow the signs to Club House). A shuttle will transport visitors to the house for tours; all visitors must ride the shuttle to be admitted. For more directions, visit
