Attorney Kathryn Tancig will provide information about the legal issues involving Conservation Easements. Her practice focuses on Conservation Easements, Real Estate, and Public-Private Partnerships. She works with landowners, government agencies, land trusts, and other professionals to structure accurate and timely closings of land conservation deals across Texas. She has assisted landowners in obtaining federal, state, and local funding for the purchase of conservation easements. Kathryn also works with landowners who wish to donate their conservation easements interests to private land trust partners. Kathryn ensures her landowner clients are conveying conservation easements that will qualify as IRS charitable contributions and assists them with the process of substantiating the income tax deduction associated with their donated easement for federal tax purposes.
A panel discussion with landowners who have gone through the process of conservation easements will also be presented, with plenty of time for questions and answers.
