Plan your next event or meeting in one of our beautiful natural spaces

Our two campuses, the Cibolo Nature Center and Herff Farm, offer perfect places for your upcoming wedding, private party, or corporate meeting. Quiet, beautiful and elegant, a variety of facilities are available for rental. Mother Nature has done much of the decorating for you, setting the scene to create a spectacular natural environment—great for making memories and designed to exceed your expectations.

Cibolo Nature Center & Herff Farm Rentals

All the proceeds from rentals help to support our environmental education programs, research, and conservation and preservation work.

These indoor and outdoor spaces are perfect for weddings, rehearsal dinners, day retreats, family gatherings or parties. The spacious auditorium features a kitchen, a bride’s room, a welcoming hearth, and sliding glass doors that open to wide covered porches. Your event can extend from inside to outside to truly appreciate the nature that’s all around you. This space can accommodate approximately 125 guests under cover and up to 200 guests when additional outdoor spaces are utilized. Tables and chairs for up to 125 guests are included with your rental (set-up services not available).

Outdoor Pavilion

Fee: $100 for up to four hours

The open-air pavilion may be reserved for parties, reunions, or picnics. Benches and picnic tables are included for use, and food may be brought to the site. However, no open fires, barbecue pits, or grills are allowed on the property

The Herff Homestead with surrounding porches, patio and lawn

The Herff Homestead is the perfect place for a wedding shower, an intimate gathering, or a small corporate day retreat. The historic home has furnishings that will make everyone feel at home for your event and features a full residential kitchen, cozy gathering spaces, large porches on two stories, and a stone patio. The lawn provides a lovely place for an event or wedding. The home can accommodate approximately 30 people, and tables and chairs for 30 are provided (set up not included). To increase capacity, the lawn and porches may be set up with tents and tables and chairs (rented from a third party).

The Historic Barn and Outdoor Amphitheater

The Historic Barn and Will Smith Amphitheater are our newest additions in 2021. This is a perfect place for an informal wedding or social gathering, featuring our historic barn with vintage charm and an amphitheater and its gardens with seating for 85 and a stage for entertainment. Food and drinks can be brought in (no kitchen facilities), and tables and chairs can be rented by a third party and set up in and around the barn.

The Hunke Auditorium and H-E-B Event Lawn

These new facilities will be available for rent in the spring of 2021. Our auditorium will feature a full catering kitchen, breathtaking views, stunning woodwork, gardens, and expansive porches overlooking the Historic Barn and H-E-B Event Lawn. Capacity for this space is 100 indoors and is perfect for a wedding, shower, or day retreat. Tables and chairs are included for use in the auditorium, and additional tents, tables, and chairs for outdoor spaces can be rented from a third party.
