Celebrate #GivingTuesday by giving the gift of nature! This fall, the Cibolo’s Nest Nature School opened its doors to welcome over 80 preschool aged children to its new campus. It is here that valuable life lessons are entwined with the nourishing and educational benefits of outdoor play.

Recently, Lead Teacher, Ms. Linda, used spiders to help the children understand fear. Sharing a spider exoskeleton, she taught the children that while spiders and bats may seem scary, they feed on other bugs (including those pesky mosquitoes!) making them a friend to a healthy environment! It was in this “scary” moment that Ms. Linda reminded the children that fear is normal; yet, if they are too frightened to take a risk, they may miss out on an exciting experience or making a new friend.
