Nature Explorers Science Adventures

Take homeschooling onto the trails with a weekly class at the Cibolo Nature Center.

In our nature exploration homeschool program, students will hit the trails to learn about science and nature on our 100 acres on the marsh, the prairie, the woodlands and the majestic Cibolo Creek.

Pricing 

$150 per 10-week class per child. $100 per additional child in the same family.  

Class Size 

Limited to a small number of families per day.  COVID-19safety requirements are in place, and masks or face coverings on participants ages ten and up within 6 feet of one another are required by state mandate. Learn Science Through Nature

Take science outdoors with this hands-on exploration of all the nature center has to offer! This highly customized course brings science, culture and art together to help your homeschoolers understand the ecosystem as a whole and their place within it. 

Learn about pollinators, plants, animal tracking, water cycles, and more. This TEKS-aligned course provides the unique opportunity to explore nature and science as it unfolds right in front of you.  Why do leaves change color?  How fast does the Cibolo Creek flow?  Why are pollinators important?  Find out how to explore nature like a scientist.

Science in Nature!

  • Learn how to use scientific tools like microscopes, binoculars, and compasses
  • Conduct hands-on science experiments to illuminate the world around you
  • Explore the cultural significance of native land and wildlife
  • Observe birds, pollinators, and plants at the nature center
  • Get creative with nature-based art projects

What ages does Nature Explorers Science Adventures serve?

Our homeschool programs can serve children 4-18. These classes are highly customizable, and are designed to engage children, teenagers, and parents as well!

Can I drop off my child for class?

One parent or guardian is required to stay for the duration of the class, so please plan to come learn as a family.

What does my tuition cover?

Your tuition covers a place in the class for each member of your family, a weekly 2-hour class, and all supplies and tools for all activities.

Can we still participate if my child is in virtual education at school?

As long as you’re able to come during the scheduled class time, all families are welcome! You don’t have to be homeschooling to take part.
