Nature Explorers Adventures

Take homeschooling onto the trails with a weekly class at the Cibolo Nature Center.

Students will explore our 100 acres to learn about science, art, math, culture, nature, and more.

Register for Tuesday or Wednesday mornings, 9:30–11:30 am.  

Ages: 5-12

Tuesday Class: Sept 14th– Nov   9th 

Wednesday Class: Sept 15th-   Nov 10th 


$150 per 10-week class per child. $100 per additional child in the same family. 

*Classes are designed for students ages 5-12. Children 3 years old & up in attendance will be charged as participants.

Class Size 

COVID-19 safety requirements are in place for the program and include reduced class sizes per day.

Additionally, the state mandate requires masks or face coverings on participants ages ten and up within 6 feet of one another.

Learn Science Through Nature

Take the classroom outdoors with this hands-on exploration of all the nature center has to offer! This highly customized course brings science, math, culture, and art together to help your homeschoolers understand the ecosystem as a whole and their place within it.

Learn about pollinators, plants, animal tracking, water cycles, and more. This TEKS-aligned course provides the unique opportunity to explore nature and science as it unfolds right in front of you. Why do leaves change color? How fast does the Cibolo Creek flow? Why are pollinators important? Find out with us this fall in this great class.


  • Learn how to use scientific tools like microscopes, binoculars, and compasses 
  • Conduct hands-on science experiments and projects to illuminate the world around you 
  • Explore the cultural significance of native land and wildlife 
  • Observe birds, pollinators, and plants at the nature center 
  • Get creative with nature-based art projects

What ages does Nature Explorers Adventures serve?

Our homeschool programs can serve children 4-18. These classes are highly customizable, and are designed to engage children, teenagers, and parents as well!

Can I drop off my child for class?

One parent or guardian is required to stay for the duration of the class, so please plan to come learn as a family.

What does my tuition cover?

Your tuition covers a place in the class for each member of your family, a weekly 2-hour class, and all supplies and tools for all activities.

Can we still participate if my child is in virtual education at school?

As long as you’re able to come during the scheduled class time, all families are welcome! You don’t have to be homeschooling to take part.
