To make a gift to the Cibolo Center for Conservation through your will or estate, share this wording with your attorney:

“I give, devise, and bequeath to the Friends of the Cibolo Wilderness, 140 City Park Rd., Boerne, TX 78006, for the benefit of the Cibolo Center for Conservation, a nonprofit institution located in Kendall County, Texas, _________ (the dollar sum, percentage of estate, property, securities, etc.) for use in (state the purpose for which you wish your bequest to be used, or indicate “general purposes”).

To name the Cibolo as a beneficiary of a retirement, investment or bank account, life insurance policy, or other asset please designate:

“Friends of Cibolo Wilderness for the benefit of the Cibolo Center for Conservation.”

Gift Designation Options

Sustainable Cibolo Forever Fund

Ensure a foundation for the growth and sustainability of The Cibolo Center for Conservation in perpetuity. Unrestricted gifts are used to support top conservation, education and stewardship priorities allowing The Cibolo to respond to the ever-changing needs of our community, state and world.

 

Wrede/Ward Conservation Research Fund

Support vital research of land, water, and wildlife that informs conservation practices and policies through The Cibolo Land and Water Initiative. This fund is named in honor of Jan Wrede and in memory of Dr. Bill Ward, both champions of conservation.

 

Land & Water Stewardship Fund

Support the management of our campuses to ensure healthy land, water, and wildlife. Our conservation efforts support both our care for the land and water of the Cibolo Creek corridor and the protection of additional land to ensure future preservation.

 

Education Fund

Education programs are the heart of the Cibolo and critical to ensuring a future of nature connection. To deepen the impact we seek and reach more children, adults, and families we need sustainable funds to keep education and community programs growing and thriving. Options include:

  • Children’s Programs – Children are our hope for the future and educating them about nature from an early age is important to their mental, physical and emotional development. Support can be designated broadly, to specific programs or scholarships and access.
  • The Nest Nature School – The Nest provides a rich child-centered learning environment for children ages 3 to 5 years old to build Strong Bodies, Inquisitive Minds, & Wild Hearts. With a growing preschool there is need to sustain the new campus, provide access to all and ensure excellence in education by investing in excellent teachers and administrators. Designations include: Ensuring campus excellence, Scholarships, Teacher Positions/Leadership/Training.
