Farmer's Market
Calling all Nature Makers!
Nature Makers is a monthly, family friendly program held every second Saturday from 11:30am to 1:00pm in the Teaching Garden at Herff Farm, following Patrick Heath Public Library’s Storytime in the Herff House. Each session will include a seasonal, hands-on educational lesson, and a fun, movement based activity designed to inspire families to connect with nature.
Schedule
May 9: Make A Splash
Come make a splash with us in the Teaching Garden! Kids will use recycled materials to build their own rain gauges to take home. Next, we will explore the water cycle through a fun, interactive game, bringing science to life with movement!
June 13: Farmyard Wizards
Come experience a little farmyard magic with us at the Teaching Gardens! Kids will plant “magic beans” to take home and grow. Then they can enjoy a Magic Show featuring Hootie the Magician and live performances by local young magicians around the farm. A fun blend of nature and a little bit of wonder!
