• What is SAMA?

The San Antonio Metropolitan Area Charitable Campaign is for employees participating in the City of San Antonio Charitable Campaign, the Bexar County Government Local Charitable Campaign, San Antonio Water System Charitable Campaign, and the Combined School Districts Charitable Campaign.

Your employer will provide you with a directory of charitable causes to support. You can decide how often and how much to contribute to charity from your paycheck.

This campaign runs from August 2021 – January 2022.

• What is the SECC?

The State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) was created by legislation in 1993. The first campaign was run in 1994 and raised $2,027,751. The Texas campaign is one of the most extensive state employee campaigns in the nation — and is still growing!

The campaign runs from September 1 through October 31. Employees can contact their employer and or attend an informational meeting to receive a pledge form. You will then have access to a directory with information on all the charities in the campaign — making it easy for you to choose a cause to support.
