The Sisterdale Sanctuary is a 32-acre preserve protecting the Guadalupe watershed, providing access to nature and a safe habitat for the many who call it home. The Sanctuary is not yet open to visitors, but future wildlife surveys, BioBlitzes, and nest box monitoring programs are being planned.
For now, monthly Bird Surveys are a unique volunteer opportunity to help collect valuable wildlife data that will inform future conservation strategies and planning of the Sisterdale Sanctuary. On the second Monday of every month, volunteers will walk designated paths to count and identify bird species. These surveys are led by local bird experts.
